| Let me try to explain a little better. When going out into the surf and pushing the Tubes Hydro Paipo in front of you, it just wants to raise up with every wave surge. When riding the 4/2 Tubes Hydro Paipo, it did raise up and ride on the surface or at least most of it. It was a little unstable but has not been fine tuned yet. This was just the first trial ride. In terms of a description, it feels like it is floating. It would be like the difference between driving a sports car and flaoting down the road in a big old Cadillac. The Hydro Paipo being a big smooth cruiser. After the initial 4/2 trial runs the bottom four tubes separated from the board (they were only attached via some epoxy). The two main tubes remained attached. The board was taken out on another run with just the two tubes. This time the Hydro Paipo again raised up and rode on the tubes. The steering was a lot tighter and the board much easier to control. Speed seemed to increase with the two-only trial. |
