The Winter shots were taken on a storm day in mid-December. People don't understand California weather if they haven't lived here. Look at the green hills, reawakening after the first couple of storms. It turns green in Winter, things bloom in Spring, things turn brown in Summer, and golden in Fall. Our weather seems pretty stable, actually, but our seasons have all the variety of any Mid-Western area. They just slide into each other, however, rather than abruptly start and stop.
Water temperature on this stormy, windy day was listed at 58 degrees. We had some days that cold in summer. As this is being written in April the water temp is a frisky 55 degrees. |
