| AN OPEN LETTER TO MAT RIDERS, KNEEBOARDERS, BELLYBOARDERS, BODYBOARDERS, AND BODYSURFERS |
| This is an invitation for you to contribute words and photos to vagabondsurf.com, and in so doing help create a bit of a community for yourselves and others with open minds. vagabondsurf.com is a website dedicated to everything and everybody outside the usual 12-24 year old squashtail thruster demographic group. We've been online for four years as of April 1, 2005, and have shed our skin more than a time or two as we evolved into what now might be called a cyberspace surfing version of "The Lone Gunmen" of X-Files fame. A visit throughout the website will clue you in more, and provide detailed contributor guidelines. At this point there isn't any money in it, for anybody, but I suspect if money was all that counted in your lives you would never have been in a position to read this, eh? If you are willing, but wondering what you could possibly have to contribute, think of it this way: You are writing a letter or email to a friend who also rides the same way, about anything you might tell or share with them normally. Long or short, it doesn't matter. Same with photos. So few photos exist in some of these sports, either water action or land-based lifestyle photos, that it seriously inhibits the general surfing population from believing they exist in any meaningful way. We don't care how foggy the day is, how good or bad the surf is, or how good the action is. Should the day come when there is an abundance of photographs, then that might change.
