HURRICANE DOUGLAS
LEO CARRILLO SESSION
JULY 25, 2002
Meanwhile, up the coast at Leo Carrillo, a wide variety of surfers and surfboards were enjoying more of the Douglas legacy. Shades of the 60's.
Shortboarder at speed, on a left. All shapes and sizes in the same arena made for good viewing. A few days later, with Hurricane Elida in full command, performances at Leo Carrillo got much better, and equipment even more diverse.
Nameless, shapeless beachbreak in northern Malibu area. No takers. Probably wise given the area.
